Hello and welcome to the 4th and final installment of the "Turning 20 Extravaganza!" I say final because (drum roll please)...I'M 20 YEARS OLD NOW!!!!! Yes I am 2 decades of age as of today. So, for this post, imagine a big chocolate birthday cake with 20 candles on it. Here are 20 things I wish for (birthday and in general).
1. A Coldplay concert: Coldplay is my favorite band of all time ever. So much that on the bucket list in my head I have one of the things I would love to do is to attend a Coldplay concert as my first concert ever. If not my first, then I will not die before seeing them on stage. Period.
2. Books, books, and more books: If you didn't already guess from my book reviews and books being in one of my 20 favorites, I am a complete book worm or more technically an utter bibliophile. One of my goals is to establish a rather large book collection. And every book I own I will pass on to my children in the future. Unless, because of how introverted and unlucky with love I am, I am to remain single and raise 20 cats and dogs. Then I would just donate them to a library. (Seems more likely at the moment xD ). So, if you know me and would like to buy me a present, a book is the way to go.
3. Happiness: I want to find the secret to my happiness. Don't we all? So this one is a birthday wish to God especially. May He bless me with happiness (amen). Moreover, may He bless everyone I love and care for the happiness they deserve.
4. A camera: I WILL GET ONE. I find myself actually having some sort of talent in photography so I would like to explore it. To do that I require a camera. And as I have previously mentioned in my favorites, I have my eye on a certain one. Cross your fingers and hope I finally get one :D
5. Optimism: I wish everyone would be more positive and optimistic. People would be much happier, I do believe, if they looked to the brighter side of life. I am well aware it is hard to do that sometimes, but if we all just have a bit of faith we'll be so much happier. I personally will try to become more optimistic. It's on my list of goals to achieve.
6. A cat: Which will probably never happen because my stepmom doesn't like them. I'll definitely get one when I have my own house. I most certainly will adopt one from an animal rescue here in Egypt. Maybe even two :3
7. Fitness: I am on the path to this wish. I will try to accelerate it by hitting the gym starting winter break. But this is a wish I have always wanted for as long as I can remember. I will have this wish, if God is willing. I will work hard and keep going until it happens. I kinda have to do it too since it is forever documented on the internet that I will do it xD
8. Traveling: I really really REALLY want to visit Paris again and go to Italy. I virtually want to go everywhere. This wish is also on my bucket list. I want to travel as much as possible before settling down. Even when I'm a senior citizen I will want to travel. I believe humans were never meant to stay in one place forever. We have legs and so we should move forward and discover this big world we live in. That is exactly what I intend to do.
9. Total Faith: I have recently started praying again, and this is the first step towards total faith. This is also something I ask from Allah. May He bless me with ultimate faith in Him until the day I face Him (amen).
10. A Better Egypt: Those who know me, may think I'm not very patriotic. But I actually am, just not for the state Egypt is in at the moment. I really wish that Egypt in the future genuinely stands on its own two feet again like the old days. No pollution, no poverty, no illiteracy, no starvation, and happy smiling faces all around. I hope one day I can contribute to this wish of mine. I will try my best, though.
11. Meeting You Guys: I would really like to actually know my Readers. So here's my request of you. If you recognize me somewhere and would like to say hi, please do! I would love nothing more than to meet you all. If not then at least leave me some comments, let me interact with you! You will make me so happy if you do :)
12. Love: Let's be honest, nobody never wanted this. At some point, we all will dream of the person who will come along and give us those same stupid buttflies, wobbly legs, and daydreams of hopless romanticism. I am a hopless romantic so I know this all too well. But seriously, I will wait patiently for this one. I want no mistakes with my relationship (if one will exist). This one might take some time with me since I am an introverted geek as I pointed out in wish number 2 xD
13. Meet Certain People: I have a list of famous people I would love to meet. These are: Zoe Sugg, Jenna Marbles, Coldplay, Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Paulo Coelho, J. K. Rowling, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. These are my top celebrity musicians, actors, and authors.
14. Self-Love: This one is a prayer as well as a wish. We all have insecurities and sometimes look in the mirror and dislike what we see. I don't only wish this for myself. I wish this for everone. Through loving ourselves, we will be able to love others definitely. The best way to learn how to love is by starting with yourself. Because in the end, you have to take care of yourself and love yourself because you're stuck with yourself. Things and people will eventually just fade away. But what will remain is you.
15. No Animal/Planet Abuse: It really breaks my heart when I see tortured souls, even more when they are souls without a voice. They have no one to complain to but the One who created them. But they need help nonetheless. I wish that more people would understand that every living thing has a soul, and that we need to learn how to be kinder to them.
16. My Dream Wardrobe: For a while now I have been unable to wear what I want. I'm not saying that I'm dying to be able to wear bikinis, shorts, and crop tops. I mean that I would love for me to not have to search in so many shops for something I can wear. And more so, I would like for my closet to have no clothes that I don't wear (work in progress).
17. Eat and Not Gain Weight: This one every girl (that doesn't have a high metabolism) dreams about. How amazing would it be if we could just eat whatever we want and not see the weight pack on, or at the very least be able to unpack it just as easy? If this wish came true, expect me to be dancing with joy and screaming "FINALLY!"
18. That Bruno Will Never Forget Me: I don't intend to never see him again and give him that opportunity, but who knows? So this is a wish that I hope comes true because I know for sure that I will never forget him.
19. Satisfaction: It is human nature to always want better. To always want. So this one is very difficult. But that is why I wish for it. Through satisfaction, everything becomes easier. And we all know we wish for things to be easy every now and then. So let's cross our fingers and pray to God for this one.
20. Inner Peace: Seriously wishing for this one. No more insecurity, no more conflictions, no more doubt, no more frustration, no more hate, no more anger, and no more fear. Just serenity and peace. If my soul leaves this earth this way, then that is all I need.
Well, I hope you enjoyed reading my wishes. Oddly enough, this was very hard to write. I had to explore my mind and heart for a bit to find 20 wishes. But in general, I don't want anything for my birthday except good company with the people I love. I can live without presents, but I can't live without them. I hope you guys are gonna leave me some birthday wishes in the comments section, though. :p
