Hello and welcome to the first installment of the "Turning 20 Extravaganza"! Today I will share with you, my lovely Readers, 20 things I love in celebration of my 20th birthday.
1. My owl necklace: This was given to me by one of my best friends ever for my 18th birthday. I treasure this necklace very much and she knows that very well. Its this small owl with big crystal eyes and tiny pink gems for feathers. No price can be placed on it.
2. My red lipstick: This was the 3rd red lipstick I bought, and it was for an outing with the girls. And honestly, I felt so awesome and looked great in it so it is now my go to red lipstick. Its called Keep Calm Lipstick by Monalisa.
3. My dog: Now you've all heard about Bruno plenty you may think but I can never stop saying how much I love that dog. He changed my life.
4. Books: You all know this. I mean I review books for a hobby, for cryin' out loud. But, I just can't get enough books. They are a portal to a whole other world, and a playground for my imagination, that I thank God exist.
5. Movies: Again, you know that I review movies. There is no feeling like watching a good flick. The satisfaction at the end of the movie, the scenes, the chemistry between actors, the morals, they're all worth spending 2 hours of my day on.
6. TV shows: I mean how could you expect me to not love them? Its like watching books. My TV shows to watch are of all sorts. English, American, Japanese, Horror, Comedy, Mystery, Action, the works. Mainly all fiction just like the books I like to read. (Notice a pattern here? :p )
7. My favorite perfume: Another birthday present from another best friend on the same 18th birthday. Its called "Sexy Me" No. 2. And it smells SO AMAZING. I only wear it on special occasions like seeing those best friends, or a formal dress coded event.
8. My best friends: There are now 4. If you guys are reading this, you know who you are ;) These people I may have not known for as long as it takes to reach the standard of "best friend", but they are incredible people in every aspect of who they are. I wouldn't change them for the world.
9. My family: Gatherings in my family are always a blast. Expect a party when you see us all together. Also just quality time with my closest family is priceless. Every day I get to see my mom in is especially precious.
10. Messing around with my friends: Those moments where you just let loose and go nuts with your friends, without caring what the public eye thinks, those are invaluable moments. I fortunately get to have many with one of my best friends in university. And for that I am eternally greatful to her.
11. Sweat pants: I have a major thing for sweat pants now. If I could I would wear them all day every day. I even go to university in them. That's how much I love them.
12. Converses: They're stylish, they're comfy, they're practical, they come in all sorts of colors and prints. Need I say more?
13. The Marvel and DC universes: I am literally head over heels for this type of fiction. Any shows or movies related to these universes I have watched or will watch. They're too good.
14. Working out: I don't usually have the motivation to go to the gym, but when I do I give it my all and enjoy it very much. I am actually going to start going to the gym regularly after finals :D
15. Photography: Give me a camera and I'll take some epic pictures. Just need a camera xD I'm saving for a Canon EOS 1200D DSLR <3
16. Coloring books for adults: Its fun, calming, creative, and I will decorate my walls with the pages. 'nough said.
17. My laptop: Although it sometimes doesn't cooperate very well, it is a writer's best friend in this modern world of ours. I love it for all its flaws and perks.
18. Music: This is an old flame of mine. I have slowly developed my taste in music over the years ever since I got my first mp3 player. Now I like a variety of music. Pop, Rock, Classical, Indie, Rap, etc.
19. Food: Because food.
20. Praying: Although I have not been committed to them, the 5 obligatory prayers are such an improvement to my life. Ever since I have been praying again, a huge weight has been bit by bit removed from my soul. Thank God for praying.
