Short Story Friday: The Accident

Hey everyone and welcome to the very first edition of Short Story Friday! I decided to tell you a personal story that just happened yesterday. In fact this story is the reason why I haven't come up with any fictional content.

Lets begin.

Yesterday, at which hour I do not recall, I fell asleep on the couch outside in the lounge. Suddenly the intercom rings and I wake up startled which leads me to choking. I kid you not, I could not breathe. I remember running to my brothers' room in a panic and barging through their door, but I vaguely remember slamming the left side of my face into something. It must have happened because I now have two huge bumps, one above my eye and one on the upper left corner of my mouth. I don't know if I was in a panic for my brothers to answer the intercom or because I was choking. Maybe it was both. Anyways, all the coughing I did from the choking lead to me throwing up. Then after I was done, I see the gi-normous bumps on my face. I was in shock at first, but mostly relieved there was oxygen going to my brain. I ended up having to lay down on the same couch I fell asleep on with a pack of frozen curly fries on my eye. What's funny is that my budgie, Trevor, couldn't recognize me for a bit. He just sat there on his perch, tilting his head in every way possible, baffled at the strange looking person who sounded like me. Also, my dog, Bruno could not stop licking my face trying to fix it. I guess the moral of the story is...dogs are more considerate than birds. And also, don't run on a slippery marble floor while you're in a panic. 'Cause you're going to get hurt.
